• Tata Motors BSE 2.05 % second-quarter earnings came in weak, with the company clocking consolidated net profit of Rs 3,291 crore, down 7 percent from the year-ago figure of Rs 3,542 crore.
• GMR Infrastructure Limited today said its net loss for the quarter ended September 30 widened to Rs 610 crore (after minority interest) against Rs 393 crore during the same quarter a year ago.
• JSW EnergyBSE 9.76 % LtdBSE 1.07 % said on Sunday it had agreed to buy two hydropower projects from Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd in a deal valued at Rs 9,700 crore ($1.57 bn).
• Healthcare major Apollo HospitalsBSE -0.79 % plans to open 500 Apollo Sugar Clinics by end of 2019 in India and overseas to spread network of diabetes care programme.
• The foreign investment promotion board (FIPB) on Friday cleared HDFC Bank's revised proposal to increase foreign investment in the bank to 74%, but the decision is unlikely to benefit the bank's shareholders immediately.
